The Institute of Latin American Studies provides the editorial and administrative office for the Journal of Latin American Studies, which is published four times a year, in February, May, August and November, by Cambridge University Press.
The Journal aims to publish recent research in the field of Latin American studies in economics, geography, politics, international relations, sociology, social anthropology and history. Articles on literature and the arts are not normally included, but the editors are pleased to consider contributions in the field of intellectual and cultural history. Articles with an interdisciplinary approach are particularly welcome. Regular features of the Journal include articles on contemporary themes, specially commissioned commentaries and an extensive section of book reviews.
The editors are Gareth Jones (London School of Economics), Paulo Drinot (University College London), Sian Lazar (University of Cambridge) and Diego Sanchez-Ancochea (University of Oxford).
