Border Crossings: Latin America and the Global History of Knowledge (LAGLOBAL) is a Leverhulme Trust-funded global network which will coordinate and advance scholarship on border-crossing knowledge practices pioneered in Latin America. Specialist scholarship suggests that Latin America has played a key role in the history of knowledge, but understanding of the region's role has remained marginal to academic debate and public understanding. In order to bridge this gap, LAGLOBAL will mobilise four working groups across seven transatlantic centres. Each will research the history of a key 'border-crossing knowledge practice' developed in Latin America and clarify the global implications of that practice.
