Our recently-launched Master of Research in Latin American Studies is ideally suited to students seeking to pursue research-based careers.  The Latin America-focused pathway through the MA in Understanding and Securing Human Rights is excellent preparation for work in the fields of human rights or development.  Finally, for those wishing to pursue a PhD, we offer specialist supervision covering the whole of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as flexible study options including opportunites for distance-learning and part-time study.

As part of the School of Advanced Study (SAS), University of London, ILAS students benefit from a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment, as well as a wide range of funding opportunities, including AHRC-sponsored London Arts and Humanities Partnership (LAHP) studentships.
